Rae Jean and I were married in June of 1989. I graduated from U
Mass in 1990 and accepted a job from Tunghai University in Taiwan.
While in Taiwan, we were considered Tent Maker Missionaries and
helped with a local church plant. We were in Taiwan for 3 years and had 3 children there.
In the summer of 1993 we moved back to Portland. We worked with Trinity Baptist Church
doing outreach in the Kennedy Park area. In 1994 our last child was born in
Portland. For 4 years we had a mission church in the community
building in Kennedy Park. With the help of many southern churches,
we also held many bible clubs during the summer for the kids.
We joined FBC South Portland (now Hope Community Church) in 2005 but 3 1/2 years
later were asked to help at the Chinese Gospel Church of Portland. We served there from 2009 until 2020 when we felt the Lord leading us back to Hope. We are excited to see what God has in store for
this church.
